Job summary

Burgeon Engineering in India is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to interpret drawings, develop manufacturing plans, and oversee sheet metal fabrication including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.

You will collaborate with design, quality and production teams to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to safety and quality standards, with a focus on process improvements and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to develop manufacturing plans.
• Oversee sheet metal fabrication operations including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Support the selection and maintenance of fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot fabrication issues and provide technical guidance to shop floor personnel.
• Ensure all processes comply with safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for raw materials and subcontracted processes if required.
