The candidate will oversee production planning, process improvements, CAPA, audits, and cross‑functional coordination with procurement, stores, engineering, and other departments to ensure on-time delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in production, manufacturing, quality, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and quality control processes.
• Experience managing production and quality teams.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, MIS reporting, and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Strong leadership and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production activities, ensuring targets are met on time and with quality.
• Establish and maintain quality standards for incoming, in-process, and finished products; drive CAPA and audits.
• Train, guide, and supervise production and quality teams; set clear roles and expectations.
• Provide regular updates to management on production and quality performance; own issues to resolution.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Production Manager / Quality Head to lead our production and quality operations. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth production processes, maintaining quality standards, improving operational efficiency, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

• Plan, supervise, and manage day-to-day production activities.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within defined timelines and quality standards.
• Monitor production processes and optimize manpower, machines, and material utilization.
• Develop and implement efficient production processes and SOPs.
• Coordinate with procurement, stores, engineering, and other departments.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor production schedules, productivity, downtime, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of production equipment.
• Maintain production records and prepare regular MIS reports.

Quality Management

• Establish and maintain quality standards for incoming, in-process, and finished products.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection processes.
• Identify quality issues and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor rejection, rework, and defect rates.
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and company requirements.
• Conduct regular quality audits and process inspections.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality‑related issues.
• Maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, and records.

Team & Leadership

• Lead, train, and supervise production and quality teams.
• Set clear responsibilities and performance expectations.
• Promote a culture of quality, discipline, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Provide regular updates to management on production and quality performance.
• Take ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution.

Required Qualifications & Skills
