Job summary

Amor Management Consultants is seeking a Senior Manager- Production (Aluminium Extrusion) in Andhra Pradesh to lead end-to-end aluminum extrusion operations. You will commission the 1400-ton press, establish SOPs, and optimize processes for 6005/6063 alloys, while managing billet handling and downstream operations for quality and efficiency.

Applicants should have 10–15 years of experience in extrusion, strong leadership, and a track record of productivity improvements in a metals manufacturing

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in aluminum extrusion operations.
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end extrusion processes and TPM/Kaizen implementations.
• Experience in establishing SOPs, work instructions and control plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end aluminum extrusion operations using a 1400-ton press.
• Commission the extrusion press and establish SOPs, work instructions, and control plans.
• Optimize extrusion parameters for 6005 and 6063 alloys.
• Manage billet cutting, heating, charging, and temperature control.
• Handle die/tooling lifecycle including trials and maintenance.
• Oversee downstream operations: puller, run-out table, stretcher, cutting and stacking.
• Control aging processes for 6005-T5/T6 and 6063-T5/T6.
• Drive OEE, productivity, yield, and downtime reduction.

Job Description:

• Lead end-to-end aluminum extrusion operations using a 1400-ton press.
• Commission the extrusion press and establish SOPs, work instructions, and control plans.
• Optimize extrusion parameters for 6005 and 6063 aluminum alloys.
• Manage billet cutting, heating, charging, and temperature control.
• Handle complete die/tooling lifecycle, including trials, corrections, maintenance, and die life.
• Manage downstream operations including puller, run-out table, stretcher, cutting, and stacking.
• Control artificial aging processes for 6005-T5/T6 and 6063-T5/T6.
• Ensure profile quality as per solar frame dimensional and surface specifications.
• Drive OEE, productivity, yield, scrap reduction, and downtime improvement.
• Implement TPM, 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and RCA/CAPA.
• Lead production planning, shift operations, manpower deployment, and team development.
• Build and train the extrusion production team, including competency matrices and training plans.
• Manage customer audits, PPAP, first-article inspection, and process validation.
• Optimize tooling, consumables, energy costs, and metal recovery/yield.
• Support complete plant commissioning and stable production ramp-up.
