Job summary

Neomotion in Maharashtra is seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily operations, optimize production schedules, and drive continuous improvement across the factory. You will lead a team, manage budgets, and ensure on-time dispatch of finished goods while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong cost-control acumen, and experience implementing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and boost productivity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day production to meet 95% capacity on peak days
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand
• Coordinate with logistics for timely dispatch of FG
• Monitor quality with daily checks and corrective actions
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory standards compliance
• Manage inventory for RM and FG; defect rate < 0.1%
• Regular stock audits for sample parts
• Lead and motivate production team; manage staff
• Hire, train, evaluate employees to meet standards
• Foster teamwork and continuous improvement
• Manage shift schedules and staffing issues
• Develop and manage production budget; control costs
• Analyze costs and suggest savings in materials, labor, and maintenance
• Continuously improve processes; apply Lean/Six Sigma
• Ensure health and safety compliance (OSHA etc)
• Maintain clean, safe environment; enforce safety protocols
• Safety audits and corrective actions
• AM/PM maintenance schedules for all tools/equipment
• Oversee maintenance to minimize downtime
• Schedule routine inspections and repairs

Job description

• Production Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the factory to ensure efficient production to meet 95% of planned capacity on peak days
  • Develop and implement production schedules and strategies to meet customer demands.
  • Coordinate with logistics team ensure timely dispatch of FG to customers
  • Monitor production quality, perform quality checks for sample products on daily basis and implement corrective actions to maintain standards.
  • Ensure all products are manufactured in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Store management:

  • Ensure efficient and accurate inventory management for all RM and FG
  • Ensure regular count audits for sample parts
  • Maintain inventory with defect rate less than 0.1%

• Team Leadership & Staff Management:

  • Lead and motivate a team of production workers, supervisors, and other staff.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate employees to ensure they meet company standards and performance goals.
  • Foster a positive and productive working environment, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Manage shift schedules and resolve any staffing issues.

• Budgeting & Cost Control:

  • Develop and manage the production budget, ensuring costs are controlled without compromising product quality.
  • Analyze production costs and recommend cost-saving measures, including material usage, labor efficiency, and equipment maintenance.

• Process Improvement:

  • Continuously assess and improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.

• Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including OSHA or other relevant standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring all employees follow safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and take corrective action when necessary.

• Maintenance & Equipment Management:

  • Develop and adhere to AM/PM schedule for all tools, equipment and machinery at the factory.
  • Oversee the maintenance of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.
  • Work with maintenance teams to schedule routine inspections and repairs, ensuring that the factory remains fully operational.

• Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare regular reports on production performance, including output, quality, and labor costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, production, and quality control data.

• Customer Satisfaction & Quality Control:

  • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that products meet customer specifications.
