Job summary

Kaapro Management Solutions Pvt. Ltd. seeks an On-Floor Production Manager to own end-to-end textile production from grey fabric receipt to finished dispatch. You will ensure quality, process discipline, machine utilization, and regulatory compliance on the mill floor.

This hands-on role requires floor presence, supervision of dyeing, printing, and finishing operations, and effective leadership of a mixed team of operators and helpers while maintaining tight SOP adherence.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a dyeing and printing mill; job-work processing environment preferred.
• Stable employment history; no more than 3 job changes in last 8 years.
• Physically present on floor minimum 80% of working hours; not a cabin manager.
• Able to manage and motivate a mixed team of skilled operators, helpers, and casual labour.
• Working knowledge of Gujarati—essential for floor communication.
• Exposure to ATIRA-trained processes or BTRA/TRA certifications is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly dyeing and printing production schedules per client orders.
• Oversee wet processing operations including pre-treatment, dyeing, printing, and finishing.
• Perform and supervise shade matching with high first-time-right accuracy.
• Control GSM, shrinkage, and fastness at production stages.
• Manage chemical and dye consumption; optimise recipe costing per metre.
• Supervise operators, helpers, and shift workers; enforce floor SOPs.
• Coordinate with stores for dyes, chemicals, and consumables.
• Maintain production MIS; track daily output, rejections, and downtime.
• Ensure GPCB effluent norms; oversee ETP operation.
• Track grey to finished fabric with zero discrepancies.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions on the floor.
• Train and guide floor team members.

On-Floor Production Manager

Dyeing & Printing Specialist — Permanent, Full-Time

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Production Manager is the operational backbone of the mill floor. This person owns end-to-end production — from grey fabric receipt to processed fabric dispatch — ensuring output quality, process discipline, machine utilisation, and compliance with GPCB norms. This is a hands-on, floor-present role. Desk management without floor presence will not be accepted.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly dyeing and printing production schedules in line with client order requirements
• Oversee all wet processing operations including pre-treatment, reactive / vat / disperse dyeing, printing, and finishing
• Perform and supervise shade matching — ensure first-time right (FTR) shade accuracy above 90%
• Control and monitor GSM, shrinkage, and fastness parameters at every production stage
• Manage chemical and dye consumption — reduce waste, optimise recipe costing per metre
• Supervise machine operators, helpers, and shift workers — enforce floor discipline and SOPs
• Coordinate with the stores or purchase team for timely availability of dyes, chemicals, and consumables
• Maintain production MIS — daily output reports, rejection logs, and machine downtime records
• Ensure compliance with GPCB (Gujarat Pollution Control Board) effluent norms — ETP operation oversight
• Handle client fabric — track grey fabric in and finished fabric out with zero discrepancy
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement corrective actions independently
• Train, guide, and performance-manage floor team members
