Job summary

Machino Plastics Limited is seeking an experienced Production Head to lead and optimize our plastic injection molding operations. You will drive production targets, improve machine utilization, reduce rejects, and ensure on-time delivery with strict quality standards.

You will oversee end-to-end shop-floor activities, plan schedules, coordinate with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams, and implement 5S, Kaizen, and Lean practices to boost productivity and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in plastic injection moulding, with proven production leadership experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of injection moulding machines, moulds, and processing parameters.
• Experience in handling production planning, manpower, and machine utilization.
• Proven track record in reducing rejection, optimizing cycle time, and improving productivity.
• Knowledge of engineering plastics, moulding defects, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in implementing 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of production MIS, ERP systems, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end production operations for plastic injection moulding.
• Plan and execute production schedules as per customer requirements and dispatch commitments.
• Handle injection moulding machines, moulds, material planning, and shop-floor activities.
• Optimize machine cycle time, output, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Control rejection, scrap, rework, and material wastage.
• Ensure proper setting of injection moulding process parameters, including temperature, pressure, holding time, and cooling time.
• Monitor mould changeovers, machine breakdowns, and preventive maintenance coordination.
• Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, raw materials, and other resources.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Purchase, Stores, and Dispatch departments.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain production MIS, daily reports, downtime records, and productivity data.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and customer-specific requirements.
