Job summary

Skynet Placements & Outsourcing Services is seeking an experienced Head – Production to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for high‑voltage transformers and reactors in Sitarganj.

The role requires hands-on knowledge of 400 kV and 765 kV class equipment, production planning, process optimization, quality control, and strong team leadership; collaborate with Design, QA, Testing, Maintenance, Procurement and Planning for smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 15–30 years of experience in power transformer manufacturing and production leadership.
• Strong knowledge of EHV transformer and reactor manufacturing processes.
• Experience with 400 kV and 765 kV transformers and reactors preferred.
• Ability to manage large manufacturing teams and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end production and manufacturing operations for 400 kV and 765 kV power transformers and reactors.
• Oversee manufacturing processes, including core assembly, winding, core‑coil assembly, tanking, and final assembly.
• Develop and execute production plans to achieve manufacturing targets, delivery schedules, and productivity objectives.
• Monitor daily production activities, work‑in‑progress, manpower utilization, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with Design, Quality Assurance, Testing, Maintenance, Procurement, and Planning departments to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
• Ensure adherence to approved drawings, technical specifications, process parameters, and quality standards.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, efficiency, and manufacturing quality.
• Manage manpower planning, workforce deployment, team performance, and technical training.
• Monitor rejection, rework, material wastage, and production costs while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, workplace safety procedures, and manufacturing standards.
• Review production MIS, key performance indicators (KPIs), and progress reports with senior management.
• Support timely resolution of technical and operational issues during manufacturing.

Position Overview

Candidate Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred; relevant technical qualifications may be considered based on experience.
• 15–30 years of experience in power transformer manufacturing, with significant experience in production leadership.
• Strong knowledge of EHV power transformer and reactor manufacturing processes.
• Experience with 400 kV and 765 kV transformers and reactors is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage large manufacturing teams, production schedules, quality targets, and delivery commitments.
• Strong technical problem-solving, leadership, planning, and cross‑functional coordination skills.
• Experience in process improvement, productivity enhancement, and manufacturing quality management.
