Job summary

Elle Electricals is a growing manufacturing company in Maharashtra seeking a proactive Production Planning & Switch Assembly Line Manager to join our team. This role focuses on daily production planning, line balancing, and ensuring timely material availability to meet targets.

You will oversee switch assembly processes, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvements on the shop floor while coordinating manpower and materials to optimize line efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/BE/B.Tech in mechanical, electrical, production, or related field.
• 1–2 years' experience in switchgear or electrical product assembly.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and line management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily production per schedule and meet targets.
• Prepare line-wise and model-wise production plans.
• Supervise switch assembly operations ensuring correct sequence.
• Allocate operators and monitor productivity and attendance.
• Coordinate with stores for timely material issue and prevent shortages.

Role & responsibilities

Production Planning & Target Achievement

Plan and execute daily production as per scheduleEnsure daily / weekly / monthly target achievement

Prepare line-wise and model-wise production plans

Monitor hourly production vs plan and take corrective actions

Ensure timely completion of urgent / priority ordersB.

Switch Assembly Line Management

Supervise complete switch assembly operations including:

Component preparation, Metal/contact assembly, Spring & mechanism assembly, Rocker/knob fitting, Terminal assembly, Body & cover assembly, Screw fitting, Final assembly, Testing & Packing.

Ensure correct assembly sequence and WI/SOP adherence

Monitor line balancing and eliminate bottlenecks

Ensure smooth movement of WIP and FGC.

Manpower Management

Allocate operators / helpers as per line requirement

Monitor productivity, attendance and utilization

Train operators on assembly methods, quality & safety

Maintain discipline on shop floor

Manage manpower during absenteeism / urgent requirements

Components & Material Control

Ensure availability of all components before line start

Coordinate with Stores for timely material issue

Monitor shortages and inform Planning/Stores immediately

Prevent mixing of models / colours / variants / batches

Control material wastage and ensure proper handling

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification: Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Electronics, or related field.

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in switchgear, electrical products, assembly line, or similar manufacturing operations.
