Job summary

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Food Processing, Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferred: B.Tech/B.E. in Food Technology or Dairy Technology.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day production activities as per the production plan.
• Ensure timely production of ice cream as per required quantity and quality.
• Monitor the production process from mix preparation to packing.
• Ensure proper usage of raw materials and packaging materials.
• Monitor production machines and ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance and Stores teams for production activities.
• Maintain production records and daily production reports.
• Follow SOPs and company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the production area.
• Report machine breakdowns and production issues to the Production Manager.
• Follow food safety, GMP, 5S and safety guidelines.
• Support the Production Manager in achieving production targets and improving productivity.

Position Summary

Responsible for managing day-to-day production activities at the ice cream plant, ensuring production targets are achieved efficiently while maintaining product quality, process standards, food safety, hygiene and workplace safety. The role involves supervising production operations and manpower, coordinating with cross-functional teams, monitoring production performance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Handle day-to-day production activities as per the production plan.
2. Ensure timely production of ice cream as per required quantity and quality.
3. Monitor the production process from mix preparation to packing.
4. Ensure proper usage of raw materials and packaging materials.
5. Monitor production machines and ensure smooth operations.
6. Coordinate with the Quality, Maintenance and Stores teams for production activities.
7. Ensure proper manpower allocation and supervise production operators.
8. Maintain production records and daily production reports.
9. Ensure production is carried out as per SOPs and company standards.
10. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the production area.
11. Monitor production wastage and take necessary corrective actions.
12. Ensure proper handling and storage of semi-finished and finished products.
13. Report machine breakdowns, production issues and process deviations to the Production Manager.
14. Follow food safety, GMP, 5S and safety guidelines.
15. Support the Production Manager in achieving production targets and improving productivity.

Education Requirement:

• B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Food Processing, Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
• Preferred: B.Tech/B.E. in Food Technology or Dairy Technology.
