Job summary

Jobitus in Vapi, India is seeking a Production Engineer (Metallizing Plant) with 3–6 years of automotive experience to lead daily Paint Shop operations. You will oversee surface preparation, coating processes, and quality checks while optimizing material usage and ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

The role requires engineering background and knowledge of related equipment; TPM/OEE experience is valued. Location is on-site in Vapi, Gujarat.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required or equivalent.
• Experience in automotive paint shop processes preferred.
• Knowledge of TPM/OEE and root-cause analysis is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day Paint Shop production activities.
• Ensure surface preparation, pretreatment, primer, base coat, and top coat application.
• Monitor paint parameters: viscosity, DFT, temperature, curing time.
• Control defects: orange peel, sagging, pinholes, blistering, dust particles.
• Maintain production efficiency and meet daily/monthly targets.
• Reduce paint consumption and optimize material usage.
• Coordinate with Quality & Maintenance for process improvements.
• Handle manpower planning and shift management.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, and Lean manufacturing practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental norms.
• Maintain production reports and documentation.
