Qualifications

• Engineering degree and 2–4 years in a production/paint shop environment.
• Experience with automotive paint processes and equipment.
• Knowledge of TPM, OEE, and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily production plans and achieve shift targets.
• Monitor painting line and production parameters.
• Control paint viscosity, pressure, flow, spray pattern and conveyor speed.
• Ensure proper paint mixing and minimize paint wastage.
• Monitor product quality and reduce painting defects.
• Coordinate with Quality for first-piece approval and defect control.
• Analyse rejection and rework and identify root causes.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to reduce machine downtime.
• Manage operators, SOPs and process parameters.
• Monitor machine efficiency and downtime metrics.
• Support continuous improvement and 5S/safety practices.

Position: Production Engineer (Paint Shop)

Location: Vapi

Responsibilities

• Execute daily production plans and achieve shift-wise targets.
• Monitor automatic painting line and production parameters.
• Control paint viscosity, pressure, flow, spray pattern and conveyor speed.
• Ensure proper paint mixing and minimize paint wastage.
• Monitor product quality and control painting defects.
• Coordinate with Quality for first-piece approval and defect control.
• Analyse rejection/rework and identify root causes.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to reduce machine breakdowns and downtime.
• Manage manpower and guide operators on SOPs and process parameters.
• Monitor machine efficiency, productivity and OEE.
• Reduce changeover time, idle time and process bottlenecks.
• Maintain production, rejection, rework, paint consumption and downtime reports.
• Implement Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure 5S, housekeeping, PPE and safety compliance.
• Maintain proper shift handover and report production deviations.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of Automotive Paint Shop processes (Liquid Painting / Powder Coating).
• Understanding of Conveyor systems, Spray guns, Paint booths, Ovens, and Pretreatment lines.
• Familiarity with TPM, OEE, and root cause analysis.
