The ideal candidate has 4–10 years in precast environments with a background in Civil/Mechanical engineering. You will drive lean improvements and maintain rigorous safety practices across operations.

Qualifications

• Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering/Mechanical; 4–10 years experience in precast industry.

Job description

Purpose/Objective

• Production Engineer is responsible for executing and optimizing production processes while ensuring quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
• The role supports daily operations, resource planning, and reporting to ensure seamless and effective precast production.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Production Management: Manage daily production activities to ensure output targets, process flow, and delivery timelines are consistently achieved.
• Monitor operations for adherence to SOPs and technical specifications.
• Drawing Interpretation: Interpret complex technical drawings and convert them into executable actions for production planning, scheduling, and team coordination.
• Resource Utilization & Optimization: Efficiently allocate manpower, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity and minimize operational costs and wastage.
• Process Improvement: Continuously analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies, implement corrective actions, and drive lean practices to enhance overall output.
• Safety Compliance: Compliance to safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain and update production records, daily logs, and 15-day progress reports with key performance data including output, downtime, rework, and resource consumption.
• Stakeholder Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams including quality, maintenance, planning, and logistics to ensure smooth handoffs and effective communication.
• Risk Management: Identify potential production risks, delays, or resource shortages early and develop action plans to address them proactively.
• Equipment & Maintenance Support: Support equipment upkeep by ensuring timely maintenance, escalating technical issues, and minimizing unplanned downtimes through coordination with the maintenance team.
• Digital mindset: Champions a digital mindset within the organization to drive innovation and competitiveness.
• Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.
