Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Industrial Engineering.
• 3–6 years of manufacturing/production experience.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM and Six Sigma.
• Experience with ERP systems and Excel for production reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and execute daily production activities to meet schedules.
• Optimize manpower, machines, and materials to maximize productivity.
• Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Implement Lean, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Supply Chain teams.
• Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, implement corrective actions.
• Ensure SOPs, quality standards, and safety regulations are followed.
• Monitor machine efficiency, downtime, and OEE.
• Support new product introductions and process validation.
• Prepare production reports, shift reports, and performance metrics.
• Train shop floor operators on processes and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Job Summary

HFCL is seeking a skilled and motivated Production Engineer with 3–6 years of manufacturing experience to support and optimize production operations. The ideal candidate will ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, process improvement expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and execute daily production activities to meet production schedules and delivery commitments.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials to maximize productivity.
• Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth production flow.
• Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Monitor machine efficiency, downtime, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Support new product introductions and process validation activities.
• Prepare and maintain production reports, shift reports, and performance metrics.
• Train and guide shop floor operators on production processes and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory manufacturing requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for production reporting.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work in shifts when required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in electronics, telecom, cable, or related manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of production KPIs, OEE analysis, and root cause analysis tools.
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards and EHS practices.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize manufacturing processes.
