Job summary

Fresh Club is seeking an experienced Product Scale-Up & NPD Manager to bridge product development and manufacturing in the Mumbai–Pune–Nashik region. You will identify manufacturing partners, scale formulations, and drive successful product launches.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in food product development and a strong network of regional manufacturers. This role focuses on scale-up, commercialization, and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in food product development, commercialization, or scale-up.
• Hands-on from concept to commercial manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of food processing and NPD.

Responsibilities

• Lead product scale-up from pilot batches to commercial production.
• Collaborate with manufacturers to commercialize new food products.
• Coordinate trials, process optimization, and first production runs.
• Work with NPD, sourcing, quality, and category teams to launch.
• Identify and onboard new manufacturing partners in Mumbai/Pune/Nashik belt.
• Evaluate capabilities, capacities, and fit for product categories.
• Troubleshoot formulation and process challenges during scale-up.
• Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive cost improvements, process efficiency, and manufacturability.
• Maintain technical docs, product specs, and trial reports.

About the Role

Were looking for an experienced Product Scale-Up & NPD Manager to drive the commercialization of our private label food products. This role will bridge product development and manufacturing by identifying the right manufacturing partners, scaling formulations from lab to commercial production, and ensuring successful product launches. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of food manufacturers across the Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik region.

What Youll Do

• Lead product scale-up activities from pilot batches to commercial production


• Work closely with manufacturers to commercialize new food products


• Coordinate product trials, process optimization, and first commercial production runs


• Collaborate with internal NPD, sourcing, quality, and category teams to ensure timely product launches


• Identify and onboard new manufacturing partners across the Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik belt


• Evaluate manufacturing capabilities, capacities, and technical fit for different product categories


• Troubleshoot formulation and process challenges during scale-up


• Ensure products meet quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements


• Drive improvements in cost, process efficiency, and manufacturability


• Maintain technical documentation, product specifications, and trial reports

Who Were Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in food product development, commercialization, or product scale-up


• Hands-on experience in taking products from concept to commercial manufacturing


• Strong understanding of food processing, manufacturing operations, and NPD


• Established network of food manufacturers in the Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik region


• Experience working across multiple food categories is preferred


• Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills


• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities


• Ability to manage multiple product launches simultaneously


• Willingness to travel frequently within the region to support manufacturing partners
