We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented NPD Executive with 3–5 years of hands-on experience or working in a team that has taken a product from concept to shelf. Responsibilities
- Interpret the briefs ensuring innovative and technologically sound product designs are generated in line with customer expectations, operational constraints and commercial needs of the business.
- Execute product development from concept to shelf: formulation, trials, feasibility studies, and scale-up.
- Design and execute product experiments with a clear understanding of expected outcomes.
- Maintain thorough documentation of trials, specifications, and improvements.
- Conduct research on functional ingredients and global trends to fuel innovation.
- Monitor early market feedback and coordinate any necessary product adjustments.
- Work with external agencies for product development and collaborate with external labs, co-manufacturers, and packaging vendors as needed.
- New product costings including determination of costs for ingredients, and work closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all formulations and packaging comply with FSSAI standards and labelling regulations.
Skills and Experience
- Well-versed in FSSAI regulations, food safety compliance, and labelling standards.
- Practical experience with design of experiments (DoE) and hands-on prototyping.
- Prior work on beverage products will be a strong advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong grasp of nutrition science and clean label formulation principles.
- Comfortable navigating the fast-paced, iterative nature of startup environments.
- Brings a builder’s mindset – naturally curious, adaptable, and execution-driven.
