Lead Product Manager Investments & Wealth
Experience: 5+ Years
Role: Lead Product Manager
Domain: Fintech / Wealth-Tech / Investments
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Lead Product Manager to own investment and wealth products across mutual funds, Indian equities, U.S. stocks, portfolio management, and related financial services.
The ideal candidate has experience building and scaling real investment journeys and can work across customer experience, transaction infrastructure, APIs, portfolio data, compliance, operations, and business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Define product strategy, roadmap, priorities, and success metrics for investment and wealth products.
- Own end-to-end mutual fund journeys including discovery, investments, SIPs, redemptions, switches, mandates, order tracking, settlement, and servicing.
- Build and improve Indian equity and advisory experiences including suitability, consent, portfolio allocation, rebalancing, execution, and reconciliation.
- Shape U.S. stock investing journeys covering onboarding, brokerage/custody integrations, funding, FX, trading, holdings, corporate actions, and tax reporting.
- Build a reliable multi-asset portfolio layer covering mutual funds, equities, ETFs, U.S. stocks, NPS, EPF, deposits, and other assets.
- Define API/data contracts, transaction states, failure handling, data lineage, and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure asynchronous financial workflows provide accurate and trustworthy transaction status to customers.
- Work closely with Engineering, Design, Compliance, Tax, Operations, Finance, Support, and external partners.
- Create PRDs, workflows, state machines, acceptance criteria, launch plans, and operational playbooks.
- Monitor product metrics such as activation, transaction completion, mandate success, reconciliation, portfolio growth, retention, and support volume.
- Analyse customer issues, failed transactions, and operational edge cases to continuously improve product quality.
What Were Looking For
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in fintech, wealth-tech, brokerage, investment platforms, or regulated financial businesses.
- Proven experience launching and scaling real investment/transaction products, not just dashboards or content products.
- Strong knowledge of mutual funds, including SIPs, redemptions, switches, mandates, order lifecycle, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Experience with investment transaction rails, brokers, custodians, RTAs, payment/mandate providers, or market/portfolio-data platforms.
- Good understanding of U.S. equities/cross-border investing, including brokerage, custody, FX, trading, corporate actions, and tax reporting.
- Strong understanding of KYC, suitability, consent, disclosures, auditability, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Comfortable working with APIs, event-driven systems, webhooks, asynchronous workflows, idempotency, ledgers, data lineage, and reconciliation.
- Ability to understand investment returns, fees, taxation, cost basis, and portfolio analytics.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, prioritisation, and ownership skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with BSE StAR MF, MF Central/RTA, Indian broker APIs, Account Aggregator, or international broker/custodian platforms.
- Experience building portfolio aggregation, performance reporting, tax analytics, investment advisory, model portfolios, or rebalancing products.
- Experience with NRI investment journeys.
- Experience in SEBI-regulated businesses such as advisers, brokers, distributors, RIAs, or investment platforms.
- Experience working in zero-to-one or early-stage product environments.
Success in the Role
- Strong investment-platform roadmap aligned with customer, business, and technical priorities.
- Improved transaction completion and reduced failures across payments, mandates, and investment workflows.
- Reliable order, holding, portfolio, and reconciliation systems.
- Successful delivery of key mutual-fund, equity-advisory, and U.S.-investing products.
- Better product instrumentation, operational processes, and customer experience.
