Job summary

Schaeffler in Bengaluru seeks a Project Functional Safety Manager (m/f/d) to lead risk-based compliance for assigned products. You will define tailoring, provide state-of-the-art methods, and coordinate information transfer across teams to ensure adherence to safety standards.

Applicants should have an engineering degree with 5–7 years in development, strong ISO26262 knowledge, and experience with ASPICE/CMMI and requirements tools. This role offers growth in a global automotive context.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and 5–7 years of development experience, preferably in automotive.
• Experience with systems engineering (requirements, architecture, V&V) and change/configuration management.
• Knowledge of ISO26262 standard.
• Experience in software quality and processes (ASPICE, CMMI).
• Knowledge of requirements management tools (DOORS, IMS-RM, Polarion).
• Familiar with automotive development and quality processes (DFA/FTA)

Responsibilities

• Perform and support the implementation of the strategy, management system and adequate risk based approach for the respective technical compliance risk field in line with higher ranking strategies and the strategic product portfolio.
• Provide technical expertise, methods, tools, procedures and work products for the assigned products and/or subject matter areas according to state-of-the-art and tailored risk based approach.
• Coordinate the internal/external transfer of specific risk field related information for the assigned products and/or subject matter areas according to business interests.
• Perform qualified risk field related assessments for assigned products and exercise the right to release or withdraw products.

TC Manager Project (m/f/d)

For our Sustainability and Technical Compliance team, we are looking for a product integrity professional in the functional safety risk field area aka Project Functional Safety Manager (m/f/d) to perform and support an adequate risk based approach to achieve adherence to product-related binding obligations for the risk field of technical compliance for assigned products and/or subject matter areas incl. definition of necessary tailoring.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and support the implementation of the strategy, management system and adequate risk based approach for the respective technical compliance risk field in line with higher ranking strategies and the strategic product portfolio.

Your Qualifications:

• Having an engineering degree and at least 5-7 years of experience in development, preferably in automotive industry.
• Experience with system engineering approaches (requirements engineering/management, functional analysis and allocation, architecture design, validation & verification) and experience with change & configuration management.
• Detailed knowledge and proven experience on the ISO26262 standard.
• Experience in Software Quality and process. (e.g., ASPICE, CMMI)
• Knowledge of Requirements Management tools. (e.g., DOORS, IMS-RM, Polarion)
• Familiar with automotive development and quality process (DFA/FMEA/FTA methods/tools).
