Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a BU Quality Head to drive the team in ensuring product and project quality that meets customer expectations and delivers value through continuous improvement. You will lead quality initiatives across the value chain in a global, intercultural environment.

You will oversee compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949, implement FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis, and mentor the team to achieve reliability, cost reduction, and customer delight.

Qualifications

• Bachelors / Masters in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics).
• 15+ years experience in Automotive Industry focusing on Electronic controls.
• Experience handling OEMs; 2W OEM experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with quality process methods and tools.
• Good understanding of system knowledge (Hardware, Electronics, Software, Integration).

Responsibilities

• Ensure products and services meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Monitor customer feedback, complaints, and warranty issues to drive improvements.
• Ensure ISO 9001, IATF 16949 compliance.
• Implement preventive measures to reduce defects, non-conformities, and quality issues.
• Apply tools like FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen initiatives.
• Improve process efficiency and product reliability.
• Identify quality risks across value chain and develop mitigation plans.
• Improve profitability by reducing quality-related losses.
• Support plant Q team and audits.

As BU Quality Head, aim of this position is to drive the team in ensuring product and project quality that meets / beats the customer expecations and ensure customer delight, meet organizational targets, while focussing on continuous improvements

Your Key Responsibilities

• Ensure products and services meet or exceed customer expectations
• Monitor customer feedback, complaints, and warranty issues to drive improvements
• Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949,..
• Implement preventive measures to reduce defects, non-conformities, and quality issues.
• Apply tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis
• Lead initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and problem-solving methodologies
• Improve process efficiency, and product reliability
• Identify quality risks across the value chain & develop risk mitigation plan
• Improve overall profitability by minimizing quality-related losses
• Support plant Q team
• Ensure adherence to legal, customer, and safety requirements & support audits
• Promote a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility
• Develop team - Train and coach team on quality standards and best practices

Your Qualifications

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Engineering --> Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics
• Experience in Automotive Industry specifically focussing on Electronic controls - more than 15+ years
• Experience in handling OEMs; Handling 2W OEMs will be an added advantage
• Hands on experiece on Quality process methods and tools
• Good understanding of System knowledge (Hardware, Electronics, Software, Integration..) will be added advantage
• Experience on leading a small to mid size team
• Working in global environment with high intercultural sensitivity
