Job summary

Acies is seeking an experienced professional in India to lead ALM, liquidity risk, IRRBB initiatives across banks, NBFCs, insurers and corporates. You will research regulations, design to-be processes, and mentor a team while managing client engagements globally.

The role requires 3–7 years in ALM/risk, fluent English, and certifications such as actuarial science, FRM, CQF or CA. Proficiency in Python and ALM tools is preferred, with global mobility opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in ALM, liquidity risk, IRRBB or risk consulting.
• Certifications in actuarial science (cleared >9 papers), FRM, CQF or CA.
• Fluent English language skills (written and spoken).
• Proficient in Python and ALM-related tools.
• Experience across India/Europe/APAC/US geography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage medium to large-scale ALM and liquidity-risk system implementations globally.
• Research regulations around ALM, IRRBB and balance-sheet management; coordinate with product teams.
• Represent firm as SME and translate client needs into technical solutions.
• Mentor associates and manage project P&L; drive cross-sell opportunities.
• Oversee testing strategies and client training during UAT.
• Handle onboarding and cross-geo client engagements.

Job description

• Number of years of experience expected: 3-7 years
• Areas of past experience preferred: Asset-liability management (ALM) / Liquidity risk / IRRBB / Risk consulting
• Additional certifications required: Actuarial science (Cleared more than 9 actuarial papers) / FRM / Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF) / Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Preferred geography of previous work experience: India / Europe / APAC / US
• Language requirements: Ability to write and speak fluently in English
• Technology proficiency preferred: Python / Experience with any ALM

Key responsibility areas:

• Lead, manage and execute medium to large-scale system implementations in areas related to ALM, liquidity risk, interest rate risk and balance sheet management for banks, NBFCs, insurance companies and corporates across the globe.
• Research regulations across geographies in the area of ALM, IRRBB and Balance Sheet management and engage with product teams to ensure adoption of new regulations by product team prior to rollout of the same by regulators.
• Represent the firm as subject matter specialist in the above domains while engaging with client teams to understand client methodologies adopted.
• Understand client processes and design to-be-state post automation to finalize business requirements.
• Develop testing strategies and ensure alignment client expectations and requirement coverage.
• Conduct client trainings on product usage and handhold during user acceptance testing.
• Independently lead and mentor a team of associates on a day-to-day basis.
• Manage client accounts to originate new leads for cross sell and upsell opportunities.
• Independently manage project P&L and report to senior management team.

• Work permit requirements: Either Indian Citizen or having valid work permit to work in India
• Period of engagement: Full-time position
• Compensation: Compensation varies depending on the skill, fitment and role played by the person. Compensation discussions will take place post the selection process.

Selection process:

We seek to be transparent during the selection process. While the actual process may vary from the process indicated below, the key steps involved are as follows:

• Interview: There are expected to be at least 3-4 rounds of interviews. The number of interview rounds may increase depending on the criticality and seniority of the role involved.

Preparation required:

It is recommended that you prepare on the following aspects before the selection process:

• Strong knowledge of unit level profitability, profit and loss statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement, ratios used across banks, fund transfer pricing, budgeting methods
• Basic / intermediate knowledge of Pythonand / or SQL
• Basic / intermediate functional understanding of banking products (Retail and Wholesale loans, Deposit profiles)
• Good proficiency in excel and PowerPoint
