Job summary

Refroid Technologies Private Limited in Hyderabad area is seeking a Product Engineer to lead design and development for new products, focus on value engineering, quality and reliability. You will drive Q/DC milestones, coordinate cross-functional teams, and contribute to cost management and manufacturing readiness.

The role requires a BE in Mechanical/Production Engineering with 5+ years in OEM or product environments, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/Creo), and hands-on understanding of sheet

Qualifications

• BE degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with OEM manufacturing or product companies preferred (data centre cooling, HVAC, refrigeration).
• Hands-on CAD modelling in SolidWorks/Creo (Sheetmetal, solid modelling, drawings).
• Able to learn new product knowledge quickly.
• Clear, concise communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support product development in New Product Development projects.
• Contribute to concept generation, design & development, planning, prototype build, testing and manufacturing.
• Execute phase-gate product development processes and coordinate work with minimal supervision.
• Engage in root cause analysis, product teardowns, and ideation sessions.
• Assist data-driven engineering decisions and cross-functional collaboration.
• Contribute to CAD-based part/assembly models and manufacturing requirements.
• Leverage exposure to HVAC/refrigeration/thermal domains as a key advantage.

Refroid Technologies is at a growing stage and current plant is in IDA Jeedimetla however we are looking for a larger production plant in an around of Hyderabad. We already have order in hand to deliver for this financial year in the tune of INR 120 CR.

Role Summary:

As a Product Engineer, the role encompasses product design and development activities for New Product Development, and projects such as Value Engineering and Quality & Reliability. The Product Engineer will be accountable for Quality of Outcomes, Execution schedule, and Cost management – Q/D/C’s.

Responsibilities and Deliverables:

• Project Planning and Execution: Able to support execution of deliverables per mutually agreed project plan to meet Q / D / C milestones.
• Product Development: Execute and support product development activities and collaborate with peer teams for – Concept generation, Design & Development, Planning, Prototype Build, Testing and Manufacturing
• Phase gate Product Development Process: Able to execute product development Process – conduct Design reviews, carry on design verification testing, Pre- and Post-Production activities. Able to coordinate and organize the work assigned with minimal supervision or support.
• Critical Thinking: Able to solve medium to complex technical problems in a structured thinking approach in collaboration with SME’s – Good understanding and exposure to engineering problem-solving tools. Hands-on exposure to Root cause analysis, Product Teardowns, and Idea generation sessions
• Decision Making: Able to support data-driven approach for driving key engineering decisions.
• Cross functional Collaboration: Able to work with cross functional teams and to develop detailed Part and assembly models in CAD environment and able to interpret and drive requirements for concept manufacturing. Work closely with manufacturing, testing, quality teams.
• Domain Exposure: Hands on Exposure to product development from HVAC / Refrigeration / Thermal industries is a key advantage for the position.

Qualifications:

• BE degree/ Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering
• 5+ Years of Industry Experience
• Work experience from OEM manufacturing or Product companies would be preferred – Data Centre Cooling, Bus HVAC, Refrigeration, Thermal
• Hands on experience with 3D modelling CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo – Sheetmetal, Solid modelling, Drawings etc.)
• Has the intuitiveness to learn new things / to acquire product knowledge
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate in clear and concise manner
• Strong understanding of various Manufacturing processes like sheet metal operations, Welding, casting, machining, Injection Moulding etc.
• Hands-on experience in designing Frame, load bearing and other structural components for the product
• Able to support design maturity activities through a phase gate process – Hands-on exposure and understanding of DFMEA, DVP, DFS, DFM and DVPR development processes
• Exposure to Simulation driven design approach – Ability to understand, and support necessary corrective design actions based on Structural (FEA) and Fluid analysis (CFD) reports
• Exposure Part and Drawing revision control – understanding of PLM/PDM tools will be an added advantage.
