Job summary
CIEL HR in Pune is seeking a Product Development Quality Engineer to drive automotive software quality and ASPICE compliance within the Product Management team. The role focuses on ASPICE, ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 across EV, DCT and Hybrid Powertrain programs.
You will collaborate with software, systems and safety teams to define robust QA processes, conduct audits, and mentor teams on quality practices throughout development and integration phases.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Process Improvement / Embedded Software Development in the Automotive domain.
- Strong knowledge of Automotive SPICE
- Good understanding of ISO 26262 – Functional Safety
- Knowledge of ISO 21434 – Automotive Cybersecurity
- Knowledge of ASPICE process areas & assessment models
- Experience with V-Model & Agile SDLC
- Exposure to MATLAB/Simulink / Model-Based Development (MBD) is an added advantage
- ASPICE Provisional/Competent Assessor certification is a plus

- Conduct process assessments, gap analysis & improvement planning
- Collaborate with Software, System Engineering & Functional Safety teams
- Establish quality metrics, conduct audits & drive continuous improvement
- Guide teams on requirements engineering, configuration management, V&V and change management
- Support internal & external ASPICE audits and assessments
- Conduct training and provide coaching on ASPICE processes
- Participate in peer reviews, code quality evaluations & risk assessments
- Ensure robustness and quality of embedded software development
- Interface with customers and stakeholders on software quality & compliance requirements

We are hiring a Product Development Quality Engineer for one of the leading MNCs in the automotive industry for there R&D Center.

Role: Product Development Quality Engineer
You will be part of the Product Management team working on EV, DCT & Hybrid Powertrain products and will be responsible for ensuring product development processes comply with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE), ISO 26262, ISO 21434 and other relevant automotive standards.
