Job summary

Punch Powertrain India seeks an experienced Quality Assurance professional to ensure ASPICE, ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 compliance across EV/Hybrid powertrain software.

You will lead QA processes, audits, training, and collaborate with software engineers, system engineers and safety teams to embed quality throughout the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in software quality assurance, process improvement, or embedded software in automotive domain.
• In-depth knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21434.

Responsibilities

• Join Product Management for EV, DCT, Hybrid powertrain.
• Develop and implement practices for ASPICE compliance in safety-critical automotive products.
• Define and maintain quality assurance processes for ASPICE and automotive standards.
• Perform process assessments, gap analysis and improvement planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Establish quality metrics and conduct audits for continuous improvement.
• Guide teams on requirements engineering, configuration management, verification & validation, change management.
• Support internal and external audits for ASPICE compliance.
• Develop training materials and provide ASPICE coaching.
• Participate in peer reviews and risk assessments to ensure robustness of embedded software.
• Interface with customers and stakeholders on quality requirements.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in the field of Computer science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance, process improvement, or embedded software development in the automotive domain.
• In-depth knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), and ISO 21434 (Cybersecurity). Strong understanding of ASPICE process areas and assessment models.
• Hands-on experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) models, such as V-model and Agile.
• Familiarity with software development tools like Git, JIRA, Polarion, DOORS, and relevant static analysis tools.
• Certified Automotive SPICE Assessor (Provisional or Competent Assessor) is a plus. Experience with model-based development (MBD) using tools like MATLAB/Simulink.
• Understanding of AUTOSAR architecture and methodologies.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards (ISO 21434) and their implications for software quality.
• Experience in performing audits or assessments in an automotive software environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them effectively.
