Job summary

UCUORO in Mumbai invites a Senior Furniture Designer to translate creative concepts into production-ready designs for luxury furniture. You will lead detailed drawings, 3D visualizations, and collaboration with the production team to maintain design intent through fabrication.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of furniture design experience, deep knowledge of materials and construction, and proficiency in AutoCAD, 3ds Max, and Photoshop.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in furniture design.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative and refined furniture concepts in line with UCUORO's luxury design language.
• Convert concepts and sketches into detailed, production-ready designs.
• Prepare accurate AutoCAD drawings, elevations, sections, and working drawings.
• Create detailed 3D models and renders using 3ds Max.
• Use Photoshop for presentations, material/finish exploration, mood boards, and design communication.
• Work on furniture detailing, joinery, proportions, materials, finishes, hardware, and construction methods.
• Understand and apply knowledge of furniture manufacturing and production processes.
• Coordinate closely with production, vendors, craftsmen, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues during execution.
• Review prototypes and samples and suggest design/technical modifications where required.
• Ensure designs are practical, structurally sound, cost-conscious, and suitable for production without compromising aesthetics.
• Develop and maintain product specifications and technical documentation.
• Participate in material and finish selection and explore new materials, techniques, and manufacturing possibilities.
• Ensure consistency between approved designs, technical drawings, prototypes, and final production.
• Manage multiple projects and timelines while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

Role Overview

The Senior Furniture Designer will be responsible for developing furniture designs from concept through detailed drawings and production. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of furniture design, materials, detailing, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes.

Candidates with experience inpremium/luxury furniture, lighting, interior products, or allied design industriesare welcome, provided they have strong technical and product-development capabilities.
