PD - Product Design Engineer

Job Type: Full‑time • Company: Foxconn • Experience: 10+ years

Note: Preferred only EMS industry.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in product design or mechanical engineering is required.
• 10+ years’ experience in product design, preferably consumer electronic products (i.e., handheld/portable devices).
• Proficient in written English (95% at work) and experience collaborating with overseas clients.
• Strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility to collaborate with both EMS and Foxconn’s PD engineers and cross‑functional teams.
• Comfort working in a quickly changing environment within product development phases and builds.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with process management design for electronic assembly and handheld tool design.

Preferred (or what we offer for training)

• Proven ability in 3D CAD modeling systems and workflow; UG/NX or SolidWorks fluency desirable.
• Understanding knowledge of mechanical design principles, including GD&T, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Working with Labs and knowing the equipment to resolve issues.

• BS/MS in product/industrial design or mechanical engineering related fields.
