We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our product development team. The ideal candidate will apply strong mechanical and systems design skills to develop innovative, reliable, and manufacturable solutions from concept through production. This role combines creative problem solving with practical engineering to deliver high-quality designs that meet performance, cost and schedule targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Wiring harness designs for new products, robust designs for new products and feature enhancements from concept through production.
- Translate customer needs and specifications into validated technical requirements and design specifications.
- Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies and detailed drawings (GD&T) for parts.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing, quality) to ensure design intent, manufacturability and cost targets.
- Perform design verification and validation activities, including test planning, prototyping and failure analysis.
- Manage design changes through engineering change notes (ECN) and bill of materials (BOM) updates.
- Create and maintain design documentation, technical drawings, specifications and user manuals.
- Liaise with suppliers and external partners for component selection, sourcing and supplier qualification.
- Assist in production ramp, tooling and process optimization to ensure scalable manufacturing.
- Stay current with industry standards and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Electrical Engineering with mechanical emphasis or related field.
- 1-2 years of hands‑on design engineering experience
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (e.g., Autodesk Fusion and AutoCAD or related) and 2D
- Solid understanding of mechanics, materials, tolerancing, design for manufacturability and design for assembly.
- Knowledge of GD&T and drawing standards.
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding.
- Familiarity with PLM/ERP systems and BOM management.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills; ability to balance performance, cost and

- Project management and time‑management abilities; capable of multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.

- Experience with enclosure design, wiring harness and electronics packaging.
