Job summary

Amadeus Bengaluru seeks a Product Definition Analyst 3 to analyse airline requirements, perform functional and data analyses, and validate analytics products. You will craft functional specs, collaborate across agile teams, and ensure data quality for BI reports using Tableau, Power BI, and Qlik.

Strong SQL skills and Python experience are preferred. English proficiency is required in a multinational team; knowledge of Python or R is a bonus and data modeling is a plus.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a bonus.
• Experience delivering end-to-end analytics projects, transforming vague requirements into impactful stories for business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements written by airline customers and Amadeus Product Managers.
• Conduct the functional analysis, propose viable solutions.

• Prepare adhoc documentation for developers to align with functionality.
• Participate in validation phase and fine-tune the product.
• Ensure data quality from data pipelines for applications.
• Write test plans and execute test cases.
• Review airlines’ brush tests to ensure expected behavior.
• Create meaningful reports and dashboards using BI tools.
• Write and execute SQL queries to extract/manipulate data.
• End-to-end testing and support to airlines.
• Support end users during acceptance; debug with Product Manager.
• Support Amadeus Implementation teams to deploy products.
• Test and maintain software to ensure production integrity.
• Work with cross-functional teams to address data needs and provide recommendations.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to answer business questions.
• Implement data quality checks and data validation tools.
• Create new data validation methods and analytics tools.

Accountabilities

Analysis

• Analyse business requirements written by airline customers and Amadeus Product Managers
• Conduct the functional analysis, propose viable solutions.
• Perform feasibility studies.
• Participate to requirement refinement sessions with airline customers
• Understanding & acquiring datasets that align with business needs.

Design of functional specifications

• Write documentation for product specifications or functional studies.
• Collaborate closely with the team members with an agile mindset, make sure development activities are in lines with the specifications. Prepare adhoc documentation whenever needed by developers to make sure development can be fully aligned with expected functionality

Functional test and maintenance of the software

• Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.
• Ensuring the quality of the data produced from data pipelines to be used in the applications.
• Write Test plan and execute test cases.
• Review and validate airlines’ brush test to make sure expected behaviour is in line with functional solution developed
• Utilize Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, and Qlik, to create meaningful reports and dashboards.
• Proficient in writing SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from databases.
• End to end testing, support to airlines
• Support end users during acceptance phases. Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst.
• Support Amadeus Implementation teams to implement related products for airline customers
• Test and maintenance of the software. Ensure production integrity.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide data-driven recommendations to support their goals.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis as requested by the business to address specific questions or concerns.
• Implement data quality checks and processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
• Create new data validation methods and data analysis tools.

• Knowledge of Scrum framework and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in data modeling is a plus.
