Job summary

Amadeus is seeking a Senior Product Owner in Bengaluru to define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. You will own the backlog, collaborate with engineering, QA, operations, and partners, and guide requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to delivery.

You will lead backlog refinement, planning, and releases within Agile/Scrum, validating outcomes with stakeholders and ensuring KPI-driven improvements. A strong product mindset and leadership are essential.

Job Title

Senior Product Owner

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate product vision, strategy, roadmap, and business objectives.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, development, QA, operations, and third-party partners to define requirements and drive successful product delivery.
• Create and maintain product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and user documentation.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, and product demonstrations within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• Validate delivered functionality, review test plans and test cases, and ensure solutions meet business and quality expectations.
• Monitor product performance using KPIs, user feedback, and adoption metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Support production incident analysis, risk management, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Present product updates, roadmaps, and adoption insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Drive innovation initiatives and foster a culture of collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor team members and provide product and domain guidance across teams.

Required Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to define product vision, manage roadmaps, and prioritize competing business needs.
• Hands-on experience in creating requirements documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and user guides.
• Strong understanding of software development, QA processes, testing methodologies, and release management.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience working closely with cross-functional engineering and QA teams.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance business, user, and technical perspectives.
