Job summary

Amadeus in Bengaluru is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products. You will collaborate with product analysts, data scientists, engineers, and architects to ensure reliability and performance of our data assets.

The role requires 8+ years of experience with Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake and cloud platforms (Azure/GCP/AWS). You will implement ETL processes, data modeling, and monitoring, while adopting Agile practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
• 8+ years of overall experience in data engineering.
• Proven track record of building data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Experience with data modeling and data visualization concepts and tools.
• Knowledge of software design under Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Hands-on experience with Scala, PySpark, MAPR distribution, Hadoop ecosystem, Kafka, and Impala.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks.

Responsibilities

Mandatory Skills

• Good to have certifications: Azure and/or Databricks

Qualifications

• Education: University degree in computer science or related field or relevant experience
• Overall experience: 8+ Years
• Proven track record of experience working in data engineering domain.
• Strong experience defining ETL processes.
• Experience with data modeling and data visualization concepts and tools.
• Knowledge of Software Design under Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, …).
• Proven experience on design and maintaining applications using Scala, (Py)Spark, MAPR distribution, Hadoop ecosystem, Kafka, Impala.
• Hands-on experience on Microsoft Azure, Databricks.
