Job summary

AP Management Consultants is seeking a costing professional at our Chennai plant to support Product Costing, data capture, and reporting activities.

You will prepare cost sheets, validate data with production and stores teams, and generate routine reports for management review to support cost-control initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Cost sheet preparation: Prepare and maintain product cost sheets across the product range, capturing material, labour and overhead costs.
• Standard vs actual costing: Support the maintenance of standard costs and compare against actuals to identify variances.
• Update costings when raw material prices, formulations or process parameters change.
• Material & production data: Collect and verify raw material consumption, batch output and production data from the plant for costing purposes.
• Inventory valuation support — Assist in the valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods, and support periodic stock reconciliation.
• Coordinate with plant, stores and purchase teams to obtain accurate cost and consumption inputs.
• Prepare routine costing reports, wastage and consumption analysis, and margin summaries for management review.
• Maintain accurate, well-organised costing records, registers and supporting documentation.
• Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc cost analysis, pricing inputs and cost-control initiatives.
