Job summary

Walkaroo International in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, is seeking a skilled costing professional to manage product cost estimates, maintain standard costing in ERP/SAP, and analyse variances. You will work closely with Design/NPD and Production teams to ensure cost-effective designs and accurate costing data.

This role covers preparing costing for quotations, validating raw material prices, and providing inputs to Finance for pricing and profitability analysis, with periodic costing reports for

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP/SAP costing modules.
• Strong cost accounting and variance analysis skills.
• Understanding of BOM and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare product cost estimates based on BOM, drawings, specifications and manufacturing processes.
• Calculate material, labour, machine/process and overhead costs.
• Develop and maintain standard product costing in ERP/SAP systems.
• Analyse actual vs. standard cost and identify major cost variances.
• Collaborate with Design/NPD and Production teams to ensure cost-effective designs.
• Evaluate cost impact of changes in materials, components, processes and specs.
• Support cost reduction, value engineering and VA/VE initiatives.
• Coordinate with Purchase to validate raw material and component prices.
• Study manufacturing processes, cycle times, machine utilisation and routing for cost accuracy.
• Prepare costing for customer quotations / new product proposals.
• Maintain costing master data, BOM and routing-related information.
• Provide costing inputs to Finance for pricing and profitability analysis.
• Prepare periodic costing and cost analysis reports for management.
