Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in India seeks a cost engineering professional to strengthen product costing processes. You will prepare BOM-based costings, conduct time studies, analyze cycle times, and maintain standard cost models to support accurate quoted prices.

The role collaborates with production, planning, sourcing and finance to drive cost reduction, update ERP costing data, review ECN changes, and provide MIS reports and dashboards for management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed product costing including BOM, labor, and overheads
• Conduct time study and work measurement for accurate labor costing
• Analyze cycle time, manpower utilization, and line efficiency
• Develop and maintain standard cost models for products
• Support RFQ/quotation with competitive and accurate costing
• Perform cost breakdown and margin analysis
• Identify cost reduction opportunities through process improvements
• Work on line balancing and productivity improvement initiatives
• Compare actual vs standard cost and perform variance analysis
• Support value engineering and localization activities
