Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. invites applications for a JE/SE role focused on procurement and material management within maintenance teams. The candidate will manage indirect procurement, store operations, and SAP Hana workflows.

You will monitor inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers, prepare budgets, and ensure compliance with P2P processes. A Diploma with hands-on procurement experience is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Procurement and storage of indirect consumables.
• Material receiving and issue online as per maintenance requirement.
• Provide regular updates to management on inventory levels and production.
• Monitor production processes to meet timelines within budget.
• Ensure availability of material, manpower, and equipment.
• Compliance with material planning and procurement rules, including environmental guidelines.
• Negotiate with suppliers for favorable terms.
• Receipt and approval of parts and services as per procurement guidelines.
• Perform risk assessment on potential supplier contracts.
• Prepare yearly budget: revenue and capital.
• Create purchase orders, GRN, conduct quality inspection, and distribute materials in SAP Hana.
• Coordinate IT system issues with the concerned department.
• Ensure 100% budget utilization on a quarterly basis.
• Create item codes as required.
• Handle department admin responsibilities.
• Prepare inventory and submit to management quarterly.
• Arrange material from other plants during breakdown.
• Track RGP in SAP Hana.

4. Monitoring production processes to meet timely completion of requirements within budget.
5. Ensuring requisite availability of material, manpower, and equipment.
6. Compliance with material planning and procurement rules, considering environmental compliances as well.
7. Negotiation with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
8. Receipt and approval of parts and services as per procurement guidelines.
9. Performing risk assessment on potential contracts with suppliers.
10. Preparing yearly budget: revenue and capital.
11. Responsible for PO creation, GRN, quality inspection, and material distribution in SAP Hana.
12. Responsible for discussing IT system issues with concerned department.
13. 100% budget utilization on a quarterly basis.
14. Item code creation as per requirement.
15. Handling department admin related responsibilities.
16. Prepare the inventory and submit to management on a quarterly basis.
17. Arrange material from other plant during breakdown.
18. Responsible for RGP Tracking in SAP Hana.

Qualifications

• Hands on procurement & store experience.
• Material layout planning & FIFO knowledge.
• Process skills: material handling while receiving and issuing in SAP Hana.
• Sound knowledge of material requirement planning and related softwares (SAP Hana, SAP Ariba) and proficiency in MS Office.
• In-depth knowledge of preparing & reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms as per procurement guidelines.
• Knowledge of machine maintenance.
• Sound knowledge of P2P process.
• Knowledge of PR creation and RFQ process in SAP Ariba.
