Blue Star in Bengaluru is seeking a Procurement Professional to manage end-to-end supplier engagement, from proposal requests to purchase orders. The role focuses on timely procurement and ensuring delivery aligns with specifications and schedules.

The candidate will explore alternate vendors, negotiate terms, and contribute to cost-improvement programs guided by management, including reverse auctions when appropriate.

Qualifications

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–8 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Get proposals from the suppliers, negotiate and make comparison in terms of specifications, prices, Payment Terms & Delivery Schedule & issue the Purchase Order to the Suppliers.
• Timely Procurement & Delivery of All Items for Division.
• Make sure that the material is delivered as per the agreed delivery.
• To explore new vendors as an alternate source for procurement.
• Implementation of Cost Improvement Programs based on management guidelines, viz use of Reverse Auctions etc.
