Job summary

Unfold is seeking an experienced procurement leader to own MEP packages (electrical, HVAC, fire, security, IT) for interior design and build projects. You will drive RFPs, techno-commercial evaluation, and rate negotiations with a robust vendor base.

The role requires 10–15 years in interior fitout procurement, a strong network of 10–15 vendors, and the ability to coordinate with project and design teams to meet multi-city execution timelines.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
• 10-15 years of procurement experience in interior design and build, commercial office interiors or PMCs.

Responsibilities

• Drive procurement for MEP packages, including RFPs, vendor evaluation, and negotiation.
• Perform techno-commercial assessment and rate analysis for electrical, mechanical, and HVAC scopes.
• Manage 10-15 active vendors in MEP trades.
• Own vendor relationship management, performance tracking and issue resolution.
• Build PAN-India vendor network to enable multi-city project execution.
• Coordinate with project and design teams to align procurement with timelines.
• Support cost optimization discussions for MEP scopes across projects.

Job description

This role reports to VP Procurement. Owns procurement for MEP including electrical, HVAC, fire and security, IT and networking packages within Unfold's design and build projects, managing vendor sourcing, RFP, techno-commercial evaluation and rate negotiation for electrical, fire and security, IT and networking and HVAC scopes. It requires someone already embedded in the interior contracting ecosystem with a strong existing vendor network in these specific trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the procurement process for MEP packages, including RFPs, vendor evaluation, and negotiation.
• Perform techno-commercial assessment and detailed rate analysis for electrical, mechanical, and HVAC scopes.
• Manage a base of package vendors specific to MEP trades (minimum 10-15 active vendors).
• Own vendor relationship management, including performance tracking and issue resolution.
• Build and sustain a PAN-India vendor network to enable multi-city project execution.
• Work closely with project and design teams to align procurement with execution timelines.
• Support cost optimization discussions for MEP scopes across projects.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• 10-15 years of experience into procurement with Interior design and build, commercial office interior fitout or Project Management Consultancies (PMCs).

Preferred Industry

• Interior design and build, commercial office interior fitout or Project Management Consultancies (PMCs).

Non-Negotiables

• Strong techno-commercial skills specific to civil/interior MEP packages.
• Proven rate analysis capability.
• Currently managing package vendors (not a support or coordination role).
• Wide, active vendor base of at least 10-15 vendors.
