Marut Drones is seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management of raw materials, components, and equipment required for drone production. The role involves ensuring cost-effective procurement, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing supply chain efficiency. The Procurement Manager will play a key role in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring on‑time availability of critical materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production and business goals.
• Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers for raw materials, electronics, mechanical parts, and packaging materials.
• Ensure cost‑effective purchasing while maintaining high‑quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to secure the best deals.
• Regularly evaluate vendor performance, quality compliance, and service levels.

Purchase Order Management

• Raise, track, and manage purchase orders (POs) to ensure timely procurement.
• Ensure proper documentation and approvals for all purchases.
• Coordinate with finance and accounts for vendor payments and reconciliations.

Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

• Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock levels to prevent shortages.
• Work closely with production and warehouse teams to align procurement with manufacturing schedules.
• Implement Just‑in‑Time (JIT) purchasing to optimize inventory costs.

Cost Control & Budgeting

• Analyze cost structures and procurement expenses to optimize spending.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities through supplier negotiations and process improvements.
• Maintain procurement budgets and track expenditures.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure all procured materials meet quality, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to inspect and approve incoming materials.
• Stay updated with import/export regulations, taxes, and compliance policies.

Process Optimization & Reporting

• Develop and maintain procurement reports, purchase logs, and supplier databases.
• Analyze market trends, material price fluctuations, and supply chain risks.
• Implement ERP‑based procurement systems for better efficiency.

Knowledge and Skill Required

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills to handle supplier agreements.
• In‑depth knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and vendor relations.
• Understanding of industrial drones, electronics, mechanical parts, and raw material sourcing is a plus.
