Job summary

AimBig Employment Pty Ltd in India is seeking a Project Procurement lead for wind energy projects. You will oversee end-to-end procurement of WTG, towers, civil works, electrical works, cranes, erection, logistics, and SCADA/PPC, ensuring timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Support procurement of wind project packages including WTG, tower, civil works, electrical works, crane, erection, logistics, and SCADA/PPC.
• Manage cranes procurement, logistics, and manpower agencies for WTG erection and civil foundations.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, finance, legal, and O&M teams to close procurement needs on time.
• Align procurement timelines with WTG supply, erection, commissioning, and project milestones.
• Handle procurement of spares, tools, safety items, electrical and mechanical components, and site requirements.
• Support O&M services including manpower, crane services, AMC contracts, and site maintenance.
• Float RFQs, evaluate quotes, and prepare statements for management approval.
• Assist in PO, Work Order, and contract review, including LD, warranties, and payment terms.
• Maintain procurement trackers, vendor databases, and MIS reports per MNRE/RLMM requirements.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Project Procurement

• Support procurement of wind project packages including WTG, tower, civil works, electrical works, crane, erection, logistics, and SCADA/PPC.
• Manage procurement of cranes and interacting/logistics, manpower agencies for WTG erection, and civil foundation works - including vendor identification, mobilisation planning, techno-commercial evaluation, and rate finalisation.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, finance, legal, and O&M teams for timely closure of procurement requirements.
• Align procurement timelines with WTG supply, erection, commissioning, and overall project milestones.

O&M Procurement

• Handle procurement of critical spares, consumables, tools, safety items, electrical and mechanical components, lubricants, filters, sensors, panels, cables, and other site requirements.
• Support procurement of O&M services including manpower, crane services, AMC contracts, repair and refurbishment works, statutory testing, and site maintenance contracts.
• Coordinate with site teams for requirement validation, urgency assessment, inventory status, and delivery timelines.

Vendor Management & Commercial Negotiation

• Float RFQs, coordinate technical and commercial clarifications, and prepare comparative statements , Term Sheets , DOR and recommendation notes for management approval.
• Support negotiations for cost optimisation, better payment terms, delivery commitments, and warranty support.

Contract & PO Support

• Assist in preparation and review of Purchase Orders, Work Orders, Supply Contracts, Service Contracts, and AMC Agreements.
• Coordinate with legal and contracts teams for closure of key commercial terms including LD, warranty, bank guarantees, payment milestones, and delivery terms.

MIS & Compliance

• Maintain procurement trackers, vendor databases, cost benchmarks, and O&M item rate databases.
• Prepare MIS reports on procurement status, cost savings, delivery risks, and critical spares availability.
• Ensure procurement activities are aligned with company policies, approval matrix, and applicable statutory and MNRE/RLMM requirements.

The Successful Applicant

• B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering discipline. MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Project Management will be an added advantage.
• 5 to 10 years in procurement / SCM / contracts, preferably in wind, renewable energy, power projects, or heavy engineering.
• Hands-on experience in WTG OEM coordination, BoP/EPC packages, O&M procurement, or site-level procurement will be preferred.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, commercial evaluation, vendor negotiation, and contract terms, NFA preparation.
• Familiarity with wind project components - WTG, tower, foundation, erection, electrical works, SCADA/PPC, logistics, and O&M spares.
• Strong coordination and follow-up skills across internal teams, OEMs, vendors, and site teams.
• Proficient in SAP PO Creation, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Comfortable managing multiple packages and deadlines simultaneously.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
