Job summary

Aditya Birla Renewables Limited is seeking a seasoned Wind and Solar Project Manager to lead end-to-end utilities-scale projects from the Head Office, Mumbai. You will coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Land Acquisition, Commercial, Finance, EHS, and O&M teams to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery.

The role requires 15–20 years of renewable project management experience, BE/B.Tech, and PMP/PRINCE2 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Full-time BE/B.Tech (Mandatory) in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or equivalent Engineering.
• 15–20 years of experience in Wind and/or Solar Project Management.
• Proven experience managing utility-scale renewable energy projects from initiation through commissioning and handover.
• Strong understanding of EPC coordination, stakeholder management, governance, risk management, and execution monitoring.
• Experience coordinating with Site Heads, EPC contractors, OEMs, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Finance, Land Acquisition, and O&M teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end project management to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of Wind and Solar projects.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Land Acquisition, Commercial, Finance, EHS, Quality, and O&M teams.
• Monitor milestones, critical paths, risks, and drive timely corrective actions.
• Support Site Heads by resolving cross-functional bottlenecks and enabling uninterrupted project execution.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, and vendors to align on deliverables and timelines.
• Prepare governance reports and management updates for leadership reviews.

1) Job Purpose

Lead end-to-end project management of utility-scale Wind and Solar projects by driving cross-functional coordination, resolving execution bottlenecks, and ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective project delivery. Based at the Head Office, the role partners with Site Construction Heads and key stakeholders through regular site visits to ensure seamless project execution and governance.

The role is responsible for managing multiple Wind and Solar projects simultaneously by coordinating across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Land Acquisition, Commercial, Finance, EHS, Quality, and O&M teams.

Key challenges include driving alignment among multiple stakeholders, ensuring timely availability of land, materials, and statutory approvals, resolving execution bottlenecks, monitoring project progress, and ensuring projects are delivered within committed timelines and budgets without directly managing site construction.

The role requires a strong project management professional with hands‑on experience in utility-scale Wind and/or Solar projects. Candidates with only discipline engineering, project planning, or site construction backgrounds without overall project management responsibility will not fit the requirement.

3) Principal Accountabilities & Supporting Actions

Project Management & Governance

Drive overall project management to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of Wind and Solar projects.

Cross-functional Coordination

Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Land Acquisition, Commercial, Finance, EHS, Quality, and O&M teams for seamless execution.

Project Monitoring & Control

Monitor project progress, key milestones, critical paths, and execution risks while driving timely corrective actions.

Construction Support

Support Site Heads by resolving cross-functional bottlenecks and enabling uninterrupted project execution.

Contractor & OEM Coordination

Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, and vendors to ensure alignment on project deliverables and timelines.

Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, escalation critical issues, and ensure timely resolution.

Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, utilities, consultants, and regulatory authorities to achieve project objectives.

Commercial & Schedule Reviews

Review project status, contractual commitments, resource requirements, and recovery plans to ensure milestone achievement.

Coordinate with Site Heads and O&M teams to ensure smooth commissioning, project closure, and asset handover.

Management Reporting

Prepare project dashboards, governance reports, and management updates for leadership reviews.

Qualifications

• Full-time B.E./B.Tech (Mandatory) in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or equivalent Engineering.
• 15–20 years of experience in Wind and/or Solar Project Management.
• Proven experience managing utility-scale renewable energy projects from project initiation through commissioning and handover.
• Strong understanding of renewable project management principles, EPC coordination, stakeholder management, project governance, risk management, and execution monitoring.
• Experience coordinating with Site Heads, EPC contractors, OEMs, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Finance, Land Acquisition, and O&M teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively to project sites to review progress, resolve execution bottlenecks, and support project delivery.
• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, PMI, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
