Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Hyderabad, India is seeking a procurement professional to manage purchasing of packaging and bought-out items. The role involves sourcing reliable vendors, negotiating terms, raising POs, and coordinating deliveries to align with production schedules.

The candidate will collaborate with production, planning and stores to understand material needs, monitor stock, and ensure quality packaging specifications are met. Prior experience in packaging procurement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procurement of brought-out parts/items used in assembly
• Sourcing & procuring packaging consumables such as corrugated boxes, stickers, labels, inserts, tapes
• Identify and develop reliable vendors for packaging and outsourced components
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
• Raise purchase orders and coordinate deliveries with production schedules
• Collaborate with production, planning and stores to understand material requirements
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock of packaging and bought-out items
• Track supplier performance in terms of quality, cost and delivery timelines
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing and supplier information
• Ensure compliance with quality and packaging specifications defined by the organization
