Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking a procurement professional in Bengaluru to manage packaging and bought-out items for assembly. You will coordinate with production and planning to align purchases with schedules and maintain stock levels.

The role involves negotiating terms with suppliers, raising POs, and tracking supplier performance to ensure quality and cost targets are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement of packaging materials and bought-out items
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
• Ability to coordinate with production, planning and stores
• Attention to detail in recording purchases and supplier data

Responsibilities

• Responsible for procurement of brought-out parts/items used in assembly
• Sourcing & procuring corrugated boxes, stickers, labels, inserts, tapes, and other packaging consumables
• Identify and develop reliable vendors for packaging and outsourced components
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
• Raise purchase orders and coordinate deliveries in alignment with production schedules
• Collaborate with production, planning, and stores departments to understand material requirements
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock of packaging and bought-out items
• Track supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery timelines
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
• Ensure compliance with quality and packaging specifications defined by the organization
