Job summary

Hyster-Yale Group in Pune, India is seeking a Procurement Engineer-II to develop global and regional sourcing strategies, assess suppliers, and manage cost, quality, and delivery.

You will negotiate multi-year agreements, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with internal stakeholders using Power BI and ERP (SAP MM familiarity).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required as a minimum.
• Supply Chain/Procurement experience is must.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill.

Responsibilities

• Capability Assessment of New and Existing Suppliers: development of global and regional sourcing strategies.
• Supply Base Performance: identification & selection of suppliers meeting quality, delivery, cost criteria.
• Sourcing strategies that support corporate objectives.
• Manage business relationships with allocated suppliers to support HYG.
• Negotiate and establish multi-year supplier pricing agreements.
• Cost Management: negotiate and approve supplier proposals, terms and conditions.
• Formulate strategies and implement corrective actions for quality and delivery issues.
• Resolve supplier-related problems with plants, departments and accounting.
• Supply Base Management: proactive re-sourcing when performance is affected.
• Manage tooling budget for new product development and cost reduction.
• Material planning and coordination with internal & external stakeholders.
• Advance analytics - hands-on Power BI, AI techniques.

Job Profile:-

• Capability Assessment of New and Existing Suppliers: Development of Global and Regional Sourcing Strategies with them.
• Supply Base Performance: identification & Selection of suppliers that meet criteria to support HYG’s objectives for quality, delivery, cost.
• Sourcing strategies that support corporate objectives.
• Manage the business relationship with allocated suppliers to support HYG.
• Negotiation and multi-year pricing agreements with suppliers.
• Cost Management (Cost Planning + Cost Control): Negotiation and approval of supplier proposals, pricing, terms and conditions.
• Formulate strategies and implement corrective action plans for quality & delivery issues.
• Negotiate and arbitrate final resolution of problems arising between suppliers and HYG plants, product development centres and departments (Accounting, Logistics, etc.).
• Supply Base Management: Proactive re-sourcing of materials or supplier replacement when plant performance is adversely affected.
• Manage tooling budget to support new product development and cost reduction programs.
• Material planning and coordination with internal & external stakeholders
• Advance analytics- hand on experience in power BI , use of Ai techniques etc

Key Skills & Qualifications** :**

• Minimum degree qualified in a bachelor’s preferred.
• Supply Chain/Procurement experience is must.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill.
• Good presentation and advanced excel skill.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills at all levels of business.
• Self-starter with strong ability to work independently.
• Familiar with ERP system with SAP MM preferable.
