Job summary

Glatt Systems in Pune is seeking a procurement professional to manage import item purchasing, supplier coordination, and rate contracts. The role focuses on improving on-time delivery and cost efficiency by negotiating with vendors and optimizing sourcing strategies.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of import items, INCO terms, and bought-out components, with an emphasis on production-support and material planning to meet factory demands.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of purchasing of Import Items, INCO terms.
• Knowledge of bought parts like Hoses, Fittings, Valves, etc.
• Knowledge of Import taxation and Duties.
• Develop coordinates and implement sourcing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure PR-PO conversion within three days from PR date of all Shopping List Items, Bought Out Parts, Import items.
• Co-ordinate for material pickup with Freight Forwarder and suppliers.
• Formulate rate contracts for catalogue items with wide variety.
• Ensure on-time delivery and cost reduction through vendor development and negotiations.
• Prepare monthly MIS to review findings and implement actions.
• Review and reduce lead-time of long-lead items.
• Support factory production by meeting delivery needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure PR-PO conversion within three days from PR date of all Shopping List Items, Bought Out Parts, Import items.
• Coordinating with shopping list suppliers for delivery and ensure to update tracking list.
• Import Invoices- Verify OC, Verify BOE, Verify Correct Invoices.
• Co Ordinate for Material Pickup with Freight Forwarder
• Formulate Rate contract for all catalogue items by covering maximum varieties/combinations.
• Ensure FTR and OTD.
• Achieve cost reduction through various means like new vendor development, process improvement, INCO term negotiations, assembly buying etc.
• Prepare monthly MIS implement action plan on findings.
• Review & reduce lead-time of long-lead items.
• Support factory production function by meeting their delivery needs.

Work Experience Requirements:
