Job summary

KIMS Hospitals is seeking a Civil Procurement Professional in Hyderabad to lead end-to-end sourcing for raw materials, equipment, and civil subcontractors supporting site execution. The role focuses on RFQs, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

The candidate should have 9–12 years' experience in civil/EPC procurement, strong knowledge of BOQs, CAD drawings, and SAP, with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or BE.
• 9–12 years of civil/EPC project procurement experience.
• Proficiency reading BOQs, CAD drawings, and specs.

Responsibilities

• Source and requisition materials by reviewing BOQs and drawings.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate bids, and prepare price comparisons.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery, and GCC/SCC with suppliers.
• Finalize ARAs and long-term frame agreements for high-use items.
• Manage vendor pre-qualification, performance, and supplier database.
• Coordinate with project teams to track critical-path materials and logistics.
• Ensure compliance with GST/local laws and MIS reporting.

Job description

Role Overview:-

The Civil Procurement Professional is responsible for end-to-end procurement operationsensuring that all raw materials, heavy equipment, pre-engineered buildings (PEB), and civil/structural subcontractors are sourced at optimal cost, high quality, and delivered strictly on schedule to support site execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Requisition: Review and analyze Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and engineering drawings to identify material requirements (e.g., concrete, steel/rebar, aggregates, PEB structures).
• RFQ & Bidding: Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs), conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations, and build price comparative statements.
• Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and General/Special Conditions of Contract (GCC/SCC) with suppliers and civil contractors.
• Rate Contracts: Finalize Annual Rate Agreements (ARAs) and long-term frame agreements for high-consumption construction items.
• Vendor Management: Develop vendor pre-qualification criteria, evaluate supplier performance, and maintain a reliable database of civil contractors.
• Site & Logistics Coordination: Work closely with project managers and site engineers to track critical‑path materials, manage inventory, and resolve supply chain bottlenecks.
• Compliance & Reconciliation: Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, statutory obligations, and tax regulations (e.g., GST/local laws) alongside material reconciliation and MIS reporting.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, BE.
• Experience: Typically 9 to 12 years of experience in civil, structural, or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project procurement.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of civil construction materials, mix designs, and structural/PEB packages.
  • Proficiency in reading BOQs, CAD drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and e‑procurement portals.
• Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, aggressive/tactful negotiation skills, stakeholder management, and high ethical integrity.
