YOUR ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Team Lead to drive operational excellence, manage high-performing teams, and ensure seamless delivery of procurement services to our clients.
In this role you will play a key role in:
- Lead and manage a team of Procurement Associates, Process Associates, and Senior Analysts, ensuring achievement of operational and client objectives.
- Oversee end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) activities, including Purchase Requisition (PR) validation, Purchase Order (PO) creation, approvals, and supplier communication.
- Monitor team performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality targets.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex procurement issues, stakeholder concerns, and supplier queries.
- Ensure procurement processes are executed in compliance with client policies, organizational guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage workload allocation, resource planning, shift scheduling, and capacity management to ensure business continuity.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning for team members.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and drive automation, standardization, and productivity initiatives.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, sourcing teams, suppliers, and internal support functions to resolve operational challenges.
- Analyze operational metrics, prepare management reports, and present performance updates to leadership and clients.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Support transition activities, knowledge transfers, and process documentation for new projects and accounts.
- Ensure timely resolution of tickets and procurement-related requests through ticketing and workflow management tools.
- Promote a culture of customer service excellence, accountability, and continuous learning within the team.
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- 6-10 years of experience in Procurement Operations, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Purchasing, or Shared Services environments.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience leading teams in a BPO, Shared Services, or Global Business Services environment.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes including PR-PO, supplier management, invoice management, and purchasing compliance.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, or similar procurement platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proven experience in SLA/KPI management, performance reporting, and operational governance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
- Excellent coaching, mentoring, and people management skills.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification will be an added advantage.
