Job summary

PI Industries Ltd. seeks a Process Safety Lead - Cluster to drive process safety across the designated operations. You will oversee PSM governance, audit adherence, and risk reduction strategies within the cluster.

You will guide the PSM standard implementation, support incident investigations, and build safety capability across teams, including training and data system maintenance for best practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in chemical engineering.
• 13-18 years of experience in process safety with 3-4 years in operations.
• Industry focus: Agro-Pharma-Fine-Chemicals.
• Strong knowledge of PSM, risk assessment, and incident investigation.

Responsibilities

• PSM governance and audits for the cluster.
• Lead PSM competency and support standard implementation.
• Maintain Process Safety Database and best practices.
• Provide training and capability development in safety practices.
• Contribute to PHA and process safety in new product development/new plants.

Position Purpose

Process Safety Lead - Cluster is responsible for preventing and mitigating process safety incidents, by establishing formal methods to review manufacturing operations/ processes/ plants/ projects that will: (a) Identify process hazards (b) Eliminate or minimize hazards where possible (c) Assess risk, (d) Identify measures to reduce risks and (e) Investigate process safety incidents.

Strategic Responsibilities

• Identify and propose objectives and targets in the areas of Process Safety
• Identify concerns for implementation of Process Safety control measures at various stages of Product life cycle and across the organization
• Suggest safeguards for risk reduction measures to acceptable levels
• Proactively support process safety risk assessment and incorporate corrective & preventive actions, as necessary

Operational Responsibilities

• Perform a role of PSM (Process Safety Management) competency leader for the cluster
• To guide & Support the PSM standard implementation & monitoring team (SIM) team to implement the Corporate PSM standards, procedures.
• PSM governance
• PSM first party and second party Audits and track compliance
• PSM training / capability development system
• PSM in New product development/introduction/new plant construction
• Ensure PHA is conducted for all the processes
• Maintain Process Safety Database and Best Practices

People Responsibilities

• Identify the skill gaps and arrange required trainings.
• Recognize & reward excellent performers as per company policy.
• Training employees and business associates in sustainability practices arising out of sustainability projects

Education Qualification

A graduate degree in chemical Engineering

Work Experience

At least 13 -18 years of experience in process safety with 3-4 years in operations
