Job summary

Wappsys is seeking an experienced wastewater design professional to lead proposal design and support for DigitalPaani projects. You will collaborate with BD, sales, and client teams to ensure alignment with client requirements and operational philosophies for facilities joining the platform.

The role emphasizes deep knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, process modeling, and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment while delivering practical solutions with a strong ownership

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in wastewater treatment design, operation, and optimization.
• Interest in making a tangible impact in wastewater infrastructure.
• Solid knowledge of biological, chemical treatment and sludge handling processes.
• Experience with process modeling and simulation tools/software.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex proposals and solution design for DigitalPaani projects.
• Design assessments and operation philosophy documents for new or onboarded facilities.
• Research onboarding of new technologies and define operational workflows.
• Collaborate with product team to embed domain expertise into software.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Taking lead on complex proposals and solution design as part of sales. This includes engaging with the business development and sales teams as well as end clients to produce DigitalPaani proposals in alignment with client requirements.
• Completing design assessments, retrofit assessments, and designing operation philosophy documents for facilities coming on board to DigitalPaani. These may be new or existing plants.
• Initiating process research for onboarding new technologies and defining their exact operations and workflows
• Engaging with the product team to embed domain expertise such as design criteria and more into the software
• Driving process modeling and simulations for results in our facilities
• Ensuring proper process documentation such as of automation logic modification and more post sales

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment design, operation, and optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental or Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Interest in doing something different in the wastewater space and having a tangible impact on making water infrastructure function well after commissioning
• Solid knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, including biological treatment, chemical treatment, and sludge handling.
• Experience with process modeling and simulation softwares/tools.

• Knowledge of other water treatment systems or water management assets like cooling towers, RO systems and WTPs is a bonus!
• Ability to ask open-ended questions and uncover information.
• Comfort with a dynamic environment and creating new processes on the fly
• Excellent communication skills.
