Job Description

The General Ledger Senior Associate will be responsible for executing a range of activities related to General Ledger in a captive shared service environment, including recording, updating and verifying financial transactions; running daily and monthly end programs (GR, IR regrouping, IUPF posting, tax clearing etc.); activities related to reconciliation of GL accounts, issue identification, documentation maintenance, reconciliation of inter‑company transactions and balance data.

• Recording, verifying and posting financial transactions (manual and automated)
• Running daily and month‑end programs (e.g. GR, IR regrouping, IUPF posting, tax clearing)
• Generating and providing supporting documentation for closing books and consolidation of financial results
• Performing post‑closing activities and supporting payroll processing by collating data, uploading inputs and resolving queries
• Analyzing account reconciliations, identifying issues, maintaining documentation, responding to queries and assembling reconciliation inputs in system/tools
• Performing inter‑company reconciliation between entities, including identification and documentation maintenance
• Providing support documentation, generating matching reports, finalising inter‑company balances and reports
• Participating in continuous improvement projects within Shared Services

Desired candidate profile

• CMA or equivalent with 1–2 years of experience OR non‑qualified: 6–7 years of experience in General Accounting and Costing (Indian company experience preferred)
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in Excel and SAP, with strong logical thinking and analytical skills
