Job summary

Sun Pharma is seeking a Chemical Engineer to lead the Site PE Heads at Panoli, Nagar & Dewas, driving process improvements and cost-effective production methods.

You will review production methods for efficiency, prepare feasibility studies, and support installation of new equipment while ensuring safety and cGMP compliance. A BE in Chemical Engineering is required, with a focus on optimization and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical
• Experience in production optimization and cost analysis preferred.
• Familiarity with cGMP standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the current group of Site PE Heads at Panoli, Nagar & Dewas to seek new and more efficient processes and materials, or improve or find new uses for existing materials.
• Review current methods of production for cost efficiency, environmental friendliness, maximum output and product quality.
• Prepare reports, feasibility studies and cost analyses of processes.
• Provide technical support in production issues coordinating the team of production manager, shift in charge, chemists and operators.
• Plan to install new equipment and process units with design and justification.
• Perform material and energy balances, heat load calculations and production capacity enhancements.
• Attend all training related to the job role and comply with safety procedures, cGMP & SOPs.
• Scale-up calculations from Lab/Pilot scale for new product development.
• Create PFDs for new and existing processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the current group of Site PE Heads at Panoli , Nagar & Dewas to seek new and more efficient processes and materials, or improve or find new uses for existing materials.
• Review of current methods of production for cost efficiency, environmental friendliness, maximum output and product quality.
• Preparation of reports, feasibility studies and cost analysis of processes.
• Problem shouting and Technical support in production issues by co-ordinate the team of production manager, shift in charge, chemists and operators.
• Planning to install new equipment's like Distillation column, Reactors, Filters, Dryers and Cooling towers in the plant with design and justification.
• Calculation of line size required for utilities and process lines
• Detailed product costing and power consumption calculations.
• Material and energy balances, Heat load calculations.
• Production capacity enhancement by optimizing the process parameters.
• Improvements in percentage of Solvent Recovery for established systems and utility consumption calculation in recovery process.
• To attend the all training related to the job role.
• Compliances to Safety procedures, cGMP & SOP's
• Scale-up calculations from Lab scale/Pilot scale for new product development.
• Product and utility cost reduction.
• Preparation of PFD (Process flow diagram) for new and existing process.
• Critical process monitoring, data analysis & reduction of Batch cycle time
• To take part to minimize energy use, minimize waste production, including finding ways to turn the waste into valuable materials that can be re-used.
• To take part in the strategic activities those are executed at plant level.
