Job description
Are you looking to participate in a global project SAP GTS E4H on the latest version with SAP RISE? Your timing could not be better: We are currently looking for an intern for our in-house SAP team.
Together with an implementation partner and with strong support by SAP, we are gearing up for the upcoming legal changes around PASSAR CH and major integrations with CRM tools and M&A activities. Reporting to the head global processes and application, you will be part of the SAP GTS E4H team.
You will work with our experienced application owners and our consultants to define and implement solutions and processes.
Your responsibilities
Configure and implement the SAP GTS module to meet business requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions.
Conduct system troubleshooting and problem resolution
Support the rollout of PASSAR with SAP GTS E4H.
Support application owners on user requests and incidents
Analyze business requirements, prioritize them together with global process owners and application owners.
Propose, build and drive the implementation.
Perform system integration tests End to end for SAP GTS (in SAP S/4HANA and Power Platform) and support the users during user acceptance tests
Support application owner in ongoing projects.
Monitoring the system with daily tasks.
Proactively take ownership of the system stabilization after go-live.
Participate and support application owner in new initiative and projects.
SAP GTS Implementation & Configuration:
Design, implement, and configure SAP GTS modules including Customs Management, Compliance Management, and Risk Management.
Customize the SAP GTS solution based on the business requirements of the client, including the setup of master data, document flows, and process chains.
Global Trade Compliance:
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations such as import/export restrictions, embargoes, and trade preferences.
Maintain and update regulations like Sanctioned Party List (SPL) screening and ensure integration with SAP ERP or S/4HANA for automated checks.
Integration with SAP ECC/S/4HANA, Seeburger
Work on the integration of GTS with other SAP modules such as SD (Sales and Distribution), MM (Materials Management), and FI (Financial Accounting).
Support the creation of interfaces between SAP GTS and third-party systems for customs brokers and trade management.
Business Process Analysis:
Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand trade processes and requirements.
Conduct gap analysis, identify potential improvements in the current trade operations, and suggest optimal solutions.
Documentation & Training:
Develop functional and technical documentation, including blueprints, configuration guides, and user manuals.
Provide end-user training and post-implementation support to ensure smooth transition to new systems or functionalities.
Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide day-to-day support for SAP GTS solutions, ensuring timely resolution of issues related to global trade operations.
Monitor SAP GTS system performance and identify optimization opportunities
User / access management:
User creation
Role assignments
Support IT general controls (ITGC):
Provide audit evidence about access mgmt. / transport mgmt.
Your background
Bachelor's with min 5 years of experience working in SAP GTS.
Strong understanding of global trade processes, including import/export, compliance, and customs regulations.
Proficiency in SAP GTS modules (Compliance Management, Customs Management, Risk Management).
Strong knowledge of trade compliance regulations and how they impact SAP solutions.
Experience in ABAP and Fiori development for min 2 years.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in teams to meet deadlines and client requirements.
Certification in SAP GTS or relevant SAP modules.
Experience in project management or leading small teams during implementations
Fluent in English verbal and written, German would be plus
