Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated in India’s Gujarat region is seeking a Process Engineer to join a major greenfield manufacturing project. You will contribute to the design, commissioning, startup, and long-term operation of a world-class facility alongside global engineering experts.

The role requires leading process engineering design, FEED support, utility system development, and process safety initiatives, with 8+ years of industry experience. On-site work with close collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 8 years of experience in the chemical, specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical, food & beverage or petrochemical industry.
• Experience in process engineering, process improvement, and manufacturing operations.
• Process Safety Management experience.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering design activities including material and energy balances, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing, and process calculations.
• Support Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed engineering for new manufacturing facilities.
• Develop utility systems and hydraulic calculations for boilers, water treatment, compressed air, and other plant utilities.
• Drive process control strategies, automation reviews, and factory acceptance testing activities.
• Lead commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and process optimization initiatives.
• Support technology transfer projects and scale-up activities.
• Champion process safety programs including PHA, MOC, PSSR, and incident investigations.
• Provide technical support for equipment evaluation, vendor selection, and capital project execution.
• Ensure engineering designs comply with Ingredion standards, safety requirements, and regulatory expectations.
