Job summary

Indian MNC in Pune, Maharashtra, India seeks a seasoned Process Engineer to drive new project development, assembly process planning, line setup and launch readiness. You will coordinate with Design, Quality, Production and Suppliers to ensure successful launches, prepare PFMEA and APQP/PPAP documents, and lead installation, trials and customer approvals.

Qualifications

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to drive new project development, assembly process planning, line setup, process validation and launch readiness. The role will involve close coordination with Design, Quality, Production, Procurement, Suppliers and Customers to ensure successful project launches.

  • Plan and execute new program timelines for timely and successful project launches.
  • Conduct design reviews, manufacturing feasibility studies and capacity planning for new products.
  • Prepare and validate PFMEA in coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead new project development and assembly process planning.
  • Perform manpower planning, cycle time analysis and assembly line layout planning.
  • Develop concepts for stations, fixtures and assembly processes.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for RFQs, machine/fixture design, manufacturing, trials and dispatch.
  • Manage machine installation, in-house trials, process validation and production handover.
  • Lead assembly line setup, shifting, installation, commissioning and customer approval.
  • Develop packaging solutions such as trolleys/bins and in-process material handling solutions including racks, stands, chutes and work tables.
  • Prepare and maintain APQP & PPAP documentation, including PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan and Work Instructions.
  • Drive process maturation and launch readiness for new projects.
  • Manage customer PPAP updates, EOL validation and audit preparation.
  • Conduct internal audits such as QAV, LVPT and HVPT and ensure timely closure of observations.
  • Support camera installation in assembly lines and demonstrate working knowledge of PCBA.
  • Strong experience in Process Engineering / New Project Development.
  • Good knowledge of Assembly Process Planning & Line Setup.
  • Hands-on experience in PFMEA, APQP & PPAP.
  • Knowledge of PFD, Control Plan and Work Instructions.
  • Strong understanding of Cycle Time, Capacity & Manpower Planning.
  • Experience in Machine Installation, Commissioning & Process Validation.
  • Knowledge of Fixtures, Line Layout & Material Handling Systems.
  • Knowledge of EOL Validation and Manufacturing Audits.
  • Exposure to PCBA and assembly line camera installation will be preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, coordination and communication skills.
